I started my career in the arts early, first as the collaborator, wife and fabled muse of Irish Rock icon Van Morrison and later worked for 15 years as a successful songwriter and studio singer in Los Angeles. But in 1992 I wanted a change, and since I’ve always loved beaded jewelry, I decided to design and create my own collection of one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry, with the idea that these would be pieces that I would wish to wear. I called my new venture Lovebeads By Janet Planet. Over the years, I’ve designed over 1500 one-of-a-kind necklaces and bracelet sets and I’ve met so many wonderful people in the process.

I work with a vast array of the best of the newest and most exclusive and fascinating Czech fire-polished beads as well as an expanding group of vintage and antique beads and pendants, Swarovski crystals, semiprecious gemstone beads, seashell, freshwater pearls, my beautiful “faux ivory” bone beads and cloisonné enamels to add a burst of color and subtle sparkle to any ensemble. My necklaces and bracelets sell exclusively on my lovebeadsbyjanetplanet Facebook page and here on Etsy; each one arrives gift-wrapped and includes a romance card featuring my extended musings along with a description of the beads or gemstones I used.
